Chemical Engineering Car Team
One of the Chapter's main focuses this year is getting Tennessee Tech's Car team back up and running. A "Car team" is a group of chemical engineering students, and even students of other majors, who are tasked with designing a small RC car that is run entirely on chemical reactions. The car is then taken to regional and nation conferences to compete alongside other universities. Tennessee Tech's ChE-Car team has been rather successful in the past, winning a national competition. However, these projects have received little to no attention in the past few years. Our current chapter wants to make our car team a priority.
