Chemical Engineering wins this year's
"Best Darn Major"
February 22-25, 2016
Each year during the third week in February, the College of Engineering participates in National Engineers Week: a week where we celebrate how engineers make a difference in our world. The TTU Engineering Joint Council (EJC) hosts this yearly event with a week full of challenging events and lots of fun.
Eagle Ethics Video
Chemical Engineering at Tennessee Tech wins first ever Eagle Ethics challenge! Here is our finished product!
THE TASK: An eclectic group of judges will be at the showcasing of the videos and will be voting on the winner based on creativity and showing how one can have or promote academic integrity. Students will get E-week points for coming to the event and the winners of the event will be shown throughout the college.
Cardboard Boat Races
Although we did not win this year’s Cardboard Boat Races, we could not be more proud of our students and the amount or participation we had! Chemical Engineering was definitely well represented!
THE TASK: Each engineering department may have a team of people build a canoe out of cardboard, duct tape, and trash bags in the racquetball rooms in the Fit. After a 30 minute build time, the teams must race their canoes in the swimming lanes of the indoor fit pool in a down-and-back style race.
